Letter: A possible solution for the border crisis

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

A Texas congressman has asked the president to stop the immigrant surge at our southern border and instead process them in their home countries of Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras prior to their arrival at our borders. I saw no suggestions as to how he would process those not from those countries, but I’m sure something could be worked out.

I don’t know how the Biden administration views this, but it seems like something that should be seriously considered. It has the potential to drastically reduce the number of immigrants at our border or in our country illegally. I hope it is seriously considered by Biden and his administration.

If Biden doesn’t consider this proposal, it means he is not serious about stopping immigrants at our border but more interested in having them in the country to increase the voter base.
