Letter: A plea for hand counting

Editor, Gazette-Journal:Unfortunately, I have to report that a very small percentage of our BOS elected officials concern themselves about their citizens’ fate over the electronic algorithms which have the ability to change votes in our elections. At the Nov. 1 BOS meeting, one official asked of the evening’s presenter, Mr. Evan Farmer, chair of the Gloucester County Board of Elections, whether paper ballots cast in each precinct were, in fact, counted to verify the electronic voting tally coming from the Dominion Voting Machines. After two rather evasive answers, Mr. Farmer admitted that they were not. This was not the expected answer anticipated by this official. He was apparently told the opposite by our Registrar. Could it be our Registrar does not understand the question?
