The storefront of our Mathews Historical Museum on Main Street has a terrific new look, thanks to some community-minded citizens!
In 2018, Diana and Chris McDonald bought their house in Moon as a second home, with intentions of repairing and restoring it. Both still work full time in Washington—he as a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force and she as an advisor on employee benefits issues for a major law firm. At present, they are working out of their Moon house because of COVID.Diana and Chris have been visitors at our work-in-progress Mathews Museum, so I had met them several times before.
On Friday I was there with Janet Clark, the new chair of our Mathews Museum Shoppe. We were cleaning up and preparing the museum for our new effort, which will be a retail corner, the “Mathews Museum Shoppe,” where we plan to sell new and previously used items.
