Letter: A long overdue thanks

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

This letter is long overdue. One Wednesday in March, I had a minor car accident on Route 17 and, when I pulled over to the side of the road, a lovely lady stopped to check on me. In my moment of shock, I didn’t ask her name nor do I remember whether I thanked her at all.

I want her to know that her taking the time to park her car and coming to check on me was greatly appreciated. She offered to take me anywhere I needed to go or to call someone for me. She even offered to follow me home to insure my car was working properly.

I want her to know that I had at least asked her name. I hope she reads this, recognizes herself and understands how very blessed I feel for having her in my life, at the moment, and for her selfless actions.

Other people saw an accident, but she was the only one who stopped. May God bless you, nameless lady, and your family. Thank you again.
