Letter: A lesson from history

On Sunday night, the country got together and watched an annual event called the Super Bowl. While Super Bowl 50 was a milestone in sporting history, the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers provided the main event for all of us to watch. However, there are people that know nothing about football and watch the televised events only for the commercials or éthe halftime show.

Peyton Manning proved again while he is such a well-respected athlete but it was neither his ability nor Cam Newton’s arm that won the game. The game was won by the defense of the Broncos, and the game was lackluster. It has gone down in the books as a win for Denver.

However, other things have appeared on the Monday morning agendas of political correctness, that some if not all of the other entertaining values of the event offended someone.
