Letter: A lack of faith

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Reading last week’s editorial (“Pale Blue Dot,” Oct. 12 issue), I read an excerpt from Carl Sagan’s book “Pale Blue Dot” which said, “In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.”

Evidently Mr. Sagan never read the Bible. How sad that such a brilliant mind had a heart so void of faith. “For God so Loves the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) Jesus also said, “I praise You Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned and revealed them to little children.” (Matthew 11:25) I think me and my infantile little mind will vote for Jesus again this year.
