On Wednesday morning, June 25, there was a severe car accident on Route 606 in the Ark area. Mr. Michael Hedrick of Ark was one of the first people on the scene. He immediately mobilized the other bystanders to assist him in pulling a young woman from the vehicle that was fully engulfed in flames.

She was trapped inside her burning vehicle and he crawled inside and freed her from the entrapment and dragged her to safety.

Mike is a true hero in every sense of the word. We are proud to be able to call him our friend and neighbor.
