Editor, Gazette-Journal:

We would like to say a big thank you to the Flippen family for clearing a path around our truck and on our porch, cleaning of the steps and scraping our driveway after the recent snowstorm. They came out in the cold and just began working without saying a word.

We thanked them at the time, but felt a bigger thank you was deserved. They know that Edgar is a disabled vet and can no longer do this type of thing. They wanted us to be able to get out safely if we needed to. Mathews people have always helped each other and the Flippen boys are a great example of this.
