Letter: A heartfelt thank you

On behalf of the Gloucester Branch of the NAACP, I would like to thank the LightHouse Church for their warm hospitality during the co-hosting of our annual Health Fair. The event was well attended and over 50 vendors/exhibitors participated. Thank you, Pastor Ken Cramer, Danita Allen, Kathleen Dobson, Misty, Vonnie James Riverside Walter Reed Hospital, Anthem Healthkeepers Plus, Claudia Lemon-Pratt, Bay Transit, the esteemed speaker Dr. Walker-Harris and the NAACP Health Chairwoman, Natalie Johnson. Thank you to all of the businesses who donated the fabulous door prizes.

The Health Fair is a way to provide health care and resources to all people of different backgrounds and different age groups. We are especially sensitive to the needs of those who have limited or no access to adequate health care and resources. Thus, mammograms were given, free car seats, hearing testing, COVID vaccinations, Healthy Families, Bay Aging and many other services.
