Editor, Gazette-Journal:

At the March 30 Gloucester Board of Supervisors’ meeting, an eloquent speaker stated that students, their parents and teachers would benefit from supporting the schools. I think the number of people in a community that benefit from a successful school system is not just limited to those in the schools.

Former students of mine are currently successful business owners in our county. Emily makes us beautiful by styling our hair; Bobby keeps our wells in working condition, and Michael repairs and maintains our cars. Many of my students touch hundreds of lives by becoming teachers: Alex, Lindsey, Jessica and Colter, to name a few. Gloucester County benefits from Blythe and Chelsea who are nurses, and I am very proud of Matt who is a Marine and has answered his call to protect our country.
