Letter: A great rehab resource

What a sense of relief it was for my family and myself to know that when faced with rehabilitation following my surgery, I did not have to travel across the bridge to find the help that I needed. Right here at our back door are two wonderful facilities. I chose the newly opened Heron Cove in Gloucester, spending two weeks in the rehab unit.

I was amazed just by walking in the doors at the home-like atmosphere and the layout. The staff is kind, courteous and extremely helpful. They went out of their way to make you feel at home, even to the point of joining you for meals. Physical therapy was thorough and made to be enjoyable and not a task. Meals were family style and outstanding, as close to home cooking as my own kitchen. Family members are welcome to join in on any meal.

All in all, my two weeks of being there I never felt depressed, but always uplifted. I have returned since my release to visit and have still felt welcomed. Thank you to the staff an...
