I want to thank every single person who had a part in Relay for Life of Gloucester this year. I have been honored with a wonderful committee this year. This committee has worked hard all year as well as our Relay teams. This year at Relay we raised $17,847. Our current total is $75,000 but our goal is $115,000. We can keep fundraising until Aug. 31. I want to encourage our Relay teams to keep fundraising. This year the weather was not cooperating but the survivors, caregivers, and relayers came out and enjoyed the atmosphere of Relay. The atmosphere at any Relay is hope. You can look at every individual and know that one day cancer will be defeated. Everyone has hope. Our hope is a future without cancer.
