Editor, Gazette-Journal:

We, staff and residents, want to extend our thanks to the Mathews Baptist Church group of high school students who spent a hot afternoon digging, planting, mulching and making us a lovely butterfly garden.

Several residents watched and many have been assisted to our sunroom since to see their work. Hummingbirds are feeding and other types of birds are enjoying the seed this group of young people provided.

While all this is taking place, our residents are pointing and smiling. A fantastic job from a group of fantastic people. Thanks again.
