The Mathews Fireworks Committee is to be commended on a fantastic evening of truly beautiful fireworks! The entire evening was delightful from the overall organization and planning of the event, cooperation and support of the community, and the amazing fireworks display. The evening rivaled any we’ve seen, including on the National Mall!

If you haven’t already done so, I’ll bet the Committee could use a few more dollars for this year’s event, or as seed for next year—Mathews Fireworks Committee, P.O. Box 11, Mathews, Va. 23109.

I also want to thank the very nice young couple who found my cell phone in the parking lot and called me—sorry I didn’t get your name, but know that your kindness is appreciated!
