On Wednesday, I spent a delightful evening listening to the Courthouse Community Orchestra at the newly opened Cobbs Creek Art Center. The art center is a jewel of a building in the center of town; and the orchestra presented a wide range of offerings from composers including Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Wolfgang Mozart and Georges Bizet.
Conductor Jarrett Kocan is a trumpeter in the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band and led the orchestra with a professional touch. If you missed it, you can attend the next performance on June 7 at Ware Episcopal Church. I’ll be there (and not just because I’m married to one of the French horn players).
