Letter: A day and a poem

Editor, Gazette-Journal:
On Monday, October 18, I celebrated my 38th birthday. I thank God and Mother Nature for blessing me with such a beautiful day to enjoy, because I got to sit outside and read my book as I was waiting for my party guests to show up.
The first person to arrive was my buddy Ray from Newington Baptist Church. I greeted him out on the front porch and introduced him to my mom before we went inside to play video games on the Nintendo Wii. At 2 p.m. my party got started when Auntie Linda showed up. We ate pizza that I ordered from Domino’s. After I stayed at the dining room table to open up all my birthday presents. Later my buddy Ray and I went back to playing video games after we took a walk in the backyard from having cake and ice cream.
I sure had a birthday to remember. Thanks to those who helped me celebrate it.
