Letter: A community celebration

To our incredible community businesses, organizations, residents and visitors: We thank you! 

On Saturday, the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce was thrilled to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Gloucester Wine Festival. We gathered with thousands of friends, neighbors and visitors, in the beautiful gardens of Brent and Becky’s.

We choose the word “celebrate” specifically, because that’s exactly what we do at this event. In addition to celebrating the art of wine making, one of Virginia’s oldest industries, we celebrate community, local businesses and organizations, artisans, crafting, and fresh local fare. 

We celebrate Gloucester, the “Land of the life worth living,” oysters and agriculture, as we commune with nature, in those gorgeous gardens on Daffodil Lane. We celebrate volunteerism, and working together to meet common goals, and we celebrate local music and talent.
