Letter: A change in direction

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

It looks like the better instincts of the American people surfaced on Tuesday the sixth of November. Way to go, Virginia.

All across the country, people let it be known that they don’t like the direction this administration is trying to take our country.

A large number of women were elected across the country. Some of them served in the military. Good for each and every one of them. I wish them all the best. And I have great confidence that they will have a positive impact on the country.

Hopefully, they will stay loyal to their constituents and our country and not to one man. And hopefully, they will help this president to govern better and possibly help him to become a real leader. One who will try to unite us instead of further trying to divide us. One who will respect our citizens and show compassion in times of tragedy.
