As a resident of Mathews County, I believe this year’s Board of Supervisors race is crucial for the future of our county. In a time when division and uncertainty dominate the national news, I have reflected on how I can make a positive impact in our local community. My conclusion is that we must support candidates who bring professional experience, innovative ideas, and strong leadership skills to guide us forward. Two issues stand out as especially important to me: improving our school system and advancing economic development.
When it comes to Mathews County schools, I am encouraged by the progress taking place under our new Superintendent. I hope the newly elected supervisors will continue to prioritize expanding broadband access, which is essential for our students’ success and benefits the entire county.
