Several previous articles in this paper talked about working together, getting along, finding common ground. Considering today’s political landscape, this may be a bridge too far. It’s certainly a bridge Democrats are not willing to cross or even try.
Senators Warner and Kaine sponsored a bill requiring ICE officers to unmask and announce their agency. Clearly, this bill is meant to impede immigration enforcement. Instead of working with the Trump administration, they construct road blocks. Unmasking ICE agents allows Democrat extremists to photograph agents, potentially identify them, publish their names and addresses and put theirs and their families’ lives at risk. If the Senators sought common ground, shouldn’t they support enforcement of federal law? Shouldn’t they urge illegal immigrants to self-deport?
