Letter: A beautiful start to a beautiful season

On Friday I left home to run some errands and as I came to the Court House I was overwhelmed by what I saw. The street lights were all decorated with greens and beautiful red bows and Christmas flags were flying. There were beautiful Christmas baskets hanging in appropriate places.

For a while I felt like all was well in the world. The animosity that is all around us seemed unimportant. So it is my prayer that we will forget all that disturbs us and look for what is good as we begin the season of Advent and celebrate the coming of the Christ Child who loves us ALL.

I also want to thank the folks who gave their time to decorate the Court House. I am sure it brings joy to others as it did to me. Truly it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
