Editor, Gazette-Journal:
There are 38,700 residents in Gloucester County. So, a $1.3 million bill to pay Gavin Grimm’s attorney fees comes to $35 per resident. A family of four would have to cough up $140 to pay this.
This means things like education and /or police protection will either suffer, or a tax increase. I personally resent paying a nickel toward Gavin Grimm’s legal fees.
Majority rules in this country and I suppose the $70 that I and my wife will pay toward Gavin Grimm’s attorney fees is part of the cost of living in a democracy, but it also a grim (pardon the pun, not intended) reminder of the age we live in.
