Over the past several days, I have heard a number of complaints about the cancellation of Market Days and the Guinea Jubilee. You know there was an easy solution here. If only enough people had gotten vaccinated and worn a mask, we might have avoided this.
I was fully vaccinated over six months ago. I have suffered no ill effects. There has been no chip inserted in my arm (if you are worried about a so-called Big Brother, throw away your cell phone) and I am happy that I am part of the solution, instead of part of the problem.
I have lived in Mathews for over 40 years and always thought it was a lovely place, filled with kind, caring people willing to lend a hand to others. So, let’s lend a hand. Get vaccinated and wear a mask to protect those who can’t get vaccinated like those children under age 12. Let’s do our part. Isn’t that what Mathews is all about?
