Leon G. Waddell of Mathews, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, at the age of 83. He was born on Oct. 28, 1932 in Matoaka, West Virginia, to the Late Arnold and Mary Waddell.

He is survived by his son, Matthew Waddell of Susan, Virginia, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

No service is planned.
