Leola Dawn Haywood Smith, age 74, of Bavon, died Thursday, May 9, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Herbert Hoover Haywood and Robert L. Smith; a son, Robert Hoover Haywood, and two sisters, Patsy Booker Ramsey and Lou Emma Corrick.

She is survived by her children, Marilyn Diggs, Herbert (Butch) Haywood, Renee Haywood, and Ricky Haywood; her sister, Marjorie Kemp of Newport News; two brothers, James Anderson of Newport News, and William Anderson of Hampton; five grandchildren, Brian, Brent, and Brandon Haywood, Christopher Diggs and Jessie Nelson; one great-grandson, Kyle Haywood.

A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, May 19, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home Chapel, Mathews.
