LEO JOHN MOYLAN

Leo John Moylan, 81, of Gloucester, left his earthly home and entered his Heavenly home on June 30, 2011.

Lee was born Nov. 30, 1929, in Pennsylvania to the late Aloysius and Isabel Mills Moylan. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Gordius during the Korean War. Lee retired from Domino Sugar Refinery, Baltimore, as an accountant in 1992.

Lee was an active member of Providence Baptist Church, serving as deacon, Sunday school teacher and on numerous other committees. He was a member of The Gideons International; a Past Master of Glen Burnie Lodge No. 213, Maryland; and Botetourt Lodge No. 7, Gloucester. He was Past High Priest of Concordia Royal Arch Chapter No. 1, Maryland; Past Commander of Maryland Commandery No. 1; and a member of York Chapter No. 110 Order of Eastern Star.

Lee enjoyed reading his Bible and serving in his church. He was a fun and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Lee was an exceptional role model who will be missed by everyone and remembered forever.

He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, John Moylan.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth Emerson Moylan; sons, Dr. Brian Lee Moylan and wife Colleen, Dr. Bruce Emerson Moylan and wife Pamela; granddaughter, Kelly Moylan Thibodeau; grandsons, Aaron and Samuel Moylan; and brother, Aloysius Moylan.

Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Dr. Richard Croxton were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Providence Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends Saturday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
