Lemuel Augustus Thomas Sr., 88, of Cardinal, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023. “Lem” leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Martha; son, Colonel (ret.) Lemuel Augustus Thomas Jr. (Phillisia) of Woodbridge, Va.; grandsons, Uland Berry (Angie) and Lemuel Thomas III; granddaughters, Joi Thomas and Cydney Register (Roddy); great-grandson, Otis Berry, and a host of other relatives and friends who absolutely loved him dearly.
A viewing will be held on Friday, March 10, at Forrest Brothers Funeral Home in Hudgins, Va., from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, at Antioch Baptist Church, Susan, Va.
