Legionnaires to hold benefitpoker run on June 1

American Legion Riders Chapter #75 will hold its Ridedown The Need for Veterans Poker Run on Saturday, June 1.

The poker run is part of the group’s mission in service to all veterans, their health/welfare, and family needs, with funds raised benefitting area veterans. They will have food and craft vendors, and a 50/50 raffle drawing during the afternoon at the post headquarters.

Participants will pull a card from a 52-card deck at each stop. A person at a table marks the team’s or rider’s scorecard with the card they pull. They move on to the next stop until they get a five-card hand, with the best hand winning a prize.

This is the group’s first poker run since the pre-pandemic shutdown. Donations and contributions from businesses are still being accepted.
