Legion, Riders to hold Poker Run June 1

American Legion Post 75 and Riders Chapter 75 in Gloucester will hold the first Ridedown-The-Need Poker Run on Saturday, June 1 (rain date June 22) and the organizers are looking for community support. Updates will be on the American Legion page and several area 411 Facebook pages. Organizers hope to make this an annual event.

They are sending letters to businesses throughout Gloucester, Mathews, York County, Williamsburg and Newport News areas starting this week to support its mission statement—“Change a Life to Save a Life”—with their contributions.

The American Legion and all its family members—Riders, Auxiliary, Sons and Supporters—are well known for their charitable work for a wide variety of veteran and veteran family services throughout Virginia. American Legion Post 75 is a 501(c)19 nonprofit organization where all donations are tax deductible, and contributors will receive donation letters.
