“Digging at the French Battery” will be the topic of a talk by Ed Ayres, historian with the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, at 6:30 tonight, Thursday, Dec. 1, at the American Revolution Museum, 200 Water Street, Yorktown.The presentation will review the archaeology that was done in the late 1970s by the College of William and Mary at the Grand French Battery, probably as part of the events leading up to the Bicentennial.
