Former Gloucester High School soccer player P.J. LeBel has been named to the 2021 All-Tournament Team for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Championship.

LeBel started player soccer for Gloucester Parks and Recreation at the age of four. He joined the travel club Baystars FC when he was eight and played for the Baystars FC Riptides for eight years. He helped lead the Riptides to many Virginia Soccer League Inc. victories and several tourney championships. At GHS, LeBel was a team captain and an All-Conference player as a senior, and graduated in 2017.

He went on to play at Hampden-Sydney College and was named team captain for the 2021 season. In his senior year, he helped lead the HSC Tigers to a perfect 8-0-0 record to put them on top of the table for the 2021 ODAC season.

In the quarterfinals of the 2021 ODAC Tournament earlier this month, the Tigers defeated Ferrum College in penalty kicks after the teams went scoreless during regulation and two overtimes. ...
