Gwynn’s Island: A young man from East River (better known as Tick Neck) was seen on the Island on Sunday. Better watch him, boys. He will walk off with one of our Island girls. You know this is leap year but thank goodness we haven’t many old maids or unclaimed blessings, as someone has called them.

The Island fishermen are making every effort to get their nets out and we look for a good many shad this spring.

There is in progress at this time a great revival at Westville Baptist Church at the Court House, presided over by Mr. R.D. Garland, field secretary of the State Mission Work of the Baptist Church. Although these nights are dark, the church is well filled, a large number of people coming from a distance
