The newest salon on Gloucester’s Main Street, The LC Salon, is set to open on Monday, Nov. 7. Owner Emily King of Hayes has five years of experience as a hairstylist with LC Salon being the first salon of which she has been the owner.

King and her husband Tyler moved to Gloucester a little over a year ago. During that time, King managed a salon in Williamsburg. She said the time felt right to start her own business and begin planting roots in their new community.

King said though the salon has yet to open, her schedule is already beginning to fill up with new and old clients alike. She said there is still plenty of room on her schedule though, and is looking forward to meeting new folks in the community. She said everyone in Gloucester has been incredibly welcoming, especially on Main Street.
