Laura Loretta Lewis-Griffin of Richmond, the wife of Thomas W. Griffin Jr., a native of Gloucester, went home to be with the Lord on May 7, 2015.

She leaves behind one daughter, Rashedi, and two sons, Jahmi Griffin and Djun Spencer, all of Richmond.

She also leaves three sisters-in-law, the Rev. Betty Carter (James) of Gloucester, Helen Griffin-Brown (Willie) of Newport News, Va., Martha Griffin of Hamden, Conn., and Alma Griffin of Williamstown, N.J.; one brother-in-law, Michael Griffin (Donna) of Tacoma, Wash.

A viewing will be held at Wilson’s Funeral Home, 5008 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, Va. 23223 from 4-8 p.m. Friday, May 15. The funeral will be at Great Hope Baptist Church, 2101 Venable Street, Richmond, at 12 noon Saturday, May 16.
