Larry Eugene Fox, 83, of Jacksonville, Fla., passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025.

Born on February 6, 1942 in McDowell County, N.C., to Charles Frank and Magdalene Gardner Fox, he is survived by his sister, Linda Amiss; daughter, Laura Worrell (Donnie), and grandchildren, Margaret and Carter Worrell. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Rebecca; daughter, Angela; and siblings, Dennis, Charles, and Gloria.

Larry spent 34 years with Ritchie-Curbow Construction in Newport News, Va., retiring as superintendent, and also operated his own construction business in Gloucester, Va. He was known for his honesty, wisdom, and craftsmanship, with schools, churches, and homes standing as testimony to his work.

He loved fishing most of all, and cherished time with family. His greatest joy was his role as husband, father, and grandfather—faithfully devoted to his loved ones throughout his life.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 30 at 11 a.m. at Severn Church, Gloucester, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m.
