Larger space welcomes the Nurtury

Moving across Main Street, the Nurtury opened July 5 in its new, larger quarters in Gloucester Court House, adjacent to the Gazette-Journal.

Owner Loree Powell said she is excited to move from across the street into space that has 2,800 square feet, 2½ times as large as her previous location. The bigger store offers plenty of space to stock and display health products.

Powell makes many of the items for sale, such as the popular goat milk soap, essential oils used for various medicinal purposes, and Rhodiola tincture that she said helps calm anxiety and with attention deficient hyperactivity disorder.

In addition, Powell sells lotions, all natural cleaning supplies, and raw honey.

The store also stocks salt lamps, quilts, handbags and jewelry. An assortment of stones and gems are sold, which Powell said some people like to carry on their person to help relieve various ailments.
