The Gloucester High School varsity field hockey team won the Virginia High School League’s Class 4 state title after a 2-1 victory over Loudoun Valley Saturday morning at Independence High School in Ashburn.
Aaliyah Mattocks and Ellary Miller both scored for the Lady Dukes. Charlotte Houtz recorded two assists during the match, while Hannah Symonds had one. Addy Zabicki recorded five saves in the net. The Lady Dukes outshot the Loudoun Valley Vikings, 16-6, and had a 12-6 advantage in penalty corners earned.
Gloucester ends its 2025 season with a record of 20-3.
