Lady Dukes improving on the basketball court

They did not get the win but the Gloucester High School varsity girls played well in their 49-29 loss to Menchville on Jan. 6. Coach Amy O’Neil said her team is improving with every game.

Keasia Payne led the Dukes with nine points, Emily Johnston and Logan Shlusher each had five, Malia Ward contributed four and Bri Glockner, Ciera Berg and Gabby Land had two each.  Still looking for a conference win, the Dukes fell at Hampton, 64-35, on Friday. Payne led the Gloucester offense with 13 points, Ward had nine and Land added four. Jada Wilson accounted for three points and Shlusher, Berg and Blair South had two each....
