In the second round of the Region 5A tournament, the Gloucester High School girls’ varsity basketball team ended its season on the road last Thursday night with a loss to Salem High School, 78-8, at Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach.
Though the Lady Dukes suffered a tough loss against the Lady Sundevils, head coach Collin Brown said he is proud of his team’s accomplishments this season and is looking forward to a bright future for the GHS girls’ basketball program.“The ladies won a regional game for the first time in a lot of years,” said Brown. “They continued to push through and fought as hard as they could. My coaching staff really worked hard with the ladies. Our AD Mrs. [Kristy] Hunter works so hard and she gets things done. She is the best.
