Lady Dukes blank Heritage, 7-0

The Gloucester High School varsity girls added another soccer win Tuesday with a seven-goal shutout of visiting Heritage. 

Gwen Robins started the Dukes off with a goal five minutes into the first half. Cieara Berg and Lydia Hart scored soon after to put Gloucester up, 3-0. Brooke Cheatham scored the last goal of the half off of a rebound shot from Kessa Romero to make it 4-0 at the break.

Haley Hamilton beat the keeper and placed the ball into the top corner of the net to open second half scoring. Caroline Kersey scored next off a corner kick and the final goal was another strike from Robins to make it 7-0.  Scoring assists were provided by Berg, Robins, Cheatham, Romero and Marranda Hansford. Gloucester goalie Mackenzie Sullivan tallied five saves to help keep the Hurricanes off the scoreboard. 

The 6-2 Dukes look to improve to 3-0 in Conference 10 play when they take on Warwick Friday at Todd Stadium....
