Lady Dukes beat Woodside, 56-50

The Gloucester High School girls’ varsity basketball team beat Woodside, 56-50, in Tuesday night’s home opener.

The Lady Dukes’ top scorer was Lauren Hall who earned 16 points for Gloucester, which included one three-pointer. Other top scorers were Kenna Keyes with 10 points, Cici Roye with nine points and Zebe Rhodes and Maria Lisi both scoring seven points. Kylie Fisk also scored five points for the team and Cody Brown scored two. 

The Lady Dukes fell behind the first quarter of the game, scoring 8 points in the first quarter and their opponent scoring 11. Gloucester led at halftime, 29-19, with the Lady Dukes scoring 21 second-quarter points.

The GHS girls will look for their second win of the season on Friday when they travel to Heritage. ...
