Lady Dukes beat Wilson, Woodside to improve to 9-1

Kirsten Greene pitched a two-hit shutout and added three hits and two RBIs on Monday the Gloucester High varsity softball team ran over the Wilson Presidents, 22-0. The junior right hander struck out seven to raise her record to 5-1 and the Dukes’ record to 9-1.
Mackenzie Smith added three hits, including two doubles and three RBIs. Courtney Hall had three hits with a double and three RBIs while Bridget Motley continued her hot streak with three hits, including a triple and two RBIs. 
Jessica Hogge had two hits, including a first inning, two-run home run and three RBIs, while Laura Tobin contributed a pair of hits. The Dukes pounded out 18 hits while taking advantage of seven base on balls and 11 Wilson errors. 
Motley sparked the Gloucester offense Friday and Smith (4-0) handled the pitching as the Dukes rolled to a 9-1 victory at Woodside.
