The Mathews High School varsity softball team posted a 17-5 win Tuesday over the visiting King and Queen Tigers. Carter Hayes (above) started on the mound and got the win for the Lady Devils, also adding a single. Addy Lowe, Bentlea Lawrence, Kylee Swanson and Hannah Davis also contributed hits in the win. The JV and varsity Mathews softball teams will travel to Middlesex today, Thursday, May 14, with the varsity girls playing at Northampton on Friday....
