The Mathews High School boys’ cross country team suffered a tough loss against King William at last Wednesday’s home meet. Pictured above is Brian Robinson who ran a 20:40 at the meet.
The Mathews High School girls’ cross country team came out on top at last Wednesday’s home meet against King William and Rappahannock high schools with a score of 23. The boys’ team did not fare as well, falling only three points behind King William with a score of 29.
Both of the Rappahannock teams had to forfeit due to not having enough runners to compete as a team.
Cameron Stearns came in first for Mathews with a time of 17:44. Next for Mathews was Seth James (JV) with a time of 19:20, followed by Dylan White with a time of 20:28 and Brian Robinson finishing at 20:40. Andrew Greve ran a 20:46, followed by Grayson Camp (21:08) and Noah Hurst (JV) (23:09).
