Coaches Zach Moore and Ethan Schacht took the Gloucester High School crew to compete at the Ryz Obuchowicz Regatta in Fairfax Saturday, where Danielle LaCosa took first place in the women’s single event.

Zachary Hudsgon placed second in the men’s varsity single event, while Mason Dominguez also took second in the men’s junior single event. Joseph Boulay and Zachary Crowell placed second in the men’s junior double event. For the men’s varsity four event, Jacob Gross, Jacob English, Willis Redding and coxswain Joshua Littlefield placed second.

In the novice events, Ryan Arnold, Jackson Wright, Aidyn Noe, Makai Barker and coxswain Jacob Johnson placed first in the men’s novice four. Olivia Moore, Lauren Chapman, Abbygail Polk, Addison Lance and coxswain Annabelle Neal took second in the women’s novice four.

GHS rowing team will compete in Elizabeth City, N.C., on Saturday.
