Ahead of the Hayes Kroger store’s grand opening, Kroger Mid-Atlantic has opened the store’s accompanying fuel center. It opened last Wednesday. However, Kroger spokesperson Megan Irvin said she did not have any details yet on when the full store will open.
The fuel center at Hayes is the 11th Kroger to open in the Hampton Roads market, and is the second of the four fuel centers that will open as a result of the Farm Fresh acquisition.
“Kroger’s fuel centers offer our loyal Kroger Plus Card customers convenience and low prices,” said Allison McGee, corporate affairs manager for Kroger Mid-Atlantic. “For some shoppers, discounts can be as high as $1 a gallon, depending on the amount of groceries purchased.”
The fuel center at Hayes will employee six new associates, McGee said. It has eight fueling stations, making a total of four fuel pumps.
