The Gloucester County School Board approved Tammy Krejcarek of Yorktown as Botetourt Elementary School’s new principal, effective July 1, during its regular monthly meeting held April 14 at the T.C. Walker Education Center.Krejcarek has over 32 years of experience in public education. Current Botetourt principal Felicia “Tish” Hudgins announced her own July 1 retirement in February. The school board also appointed Karen Butler of Urbanna to a paraprofessional position at Abingdon Elementary School, effective March 11; Kim Owen to a substitute cafeteria worker position, effective March 18; Stephanie Altland to a substitute teaching position, effective March 19; Daniel Christie to a substitute teaching position, effective March 19; Teresa Walters to a substitute teaching position, effective March 19; and Loren Hatch to a substitute teaching position, effective March 30.
