Daniel Knott of Gloucester, was appointed last week to the Virginia Marine Products Board, among a list of appointments announced on May 10 by Gov. Glenn Youngkin.

Knott, a retired U.S. Army officer, is a waterman and founder of the nonprofit support group for veterans, Knott Alone—Hold Fast Inc.
