The Gloucester Youth Football and Cheer League Knights played several games over the weekend.
The 8U Knights achieved a shutout win against Aberdeen, 24-0. Michael Smith led the offense with 192 yards and three touchdowns. On defense, Sir Young recorded four tackles and one sack, Michael Blasing had four tackles and Liam Honeycutt recorded an interception.
Cheerleaders Genesis Pluim and Zivah Geach of the 8U team were recognized during the game.
The 10U Knights fell to the Ravens, 33-0. The 12U Knights also came up short, falling to the Virginia Gators, 12-0. The 12U team finished its season with a record of 2-4. Cheerleaders Aaliyah Cook and Taneall Kee were recognized during the 12U contest.
The Gloucester Knights Semi Pro Team won, 14-6, against the Richmond Jets in overtime. Charles Reed put the Knights on the scoreboard with a three-yard touchdown. In overtime, Jediah Fernandez achieved a 25-yard pass to Yung Twan in the win.
