White supremacist flyers were distributed in the Mathews Court House area over the past weekend.

A resident turned one in to the Gazette-Journal, and Major John Williams of the Mathews County Sheriff’s Office said that another resident also reported finding one. He said there were other flyers placed in that person’s neighborhood, as well.

The small flyers were placed in plastic zipper sandwich bags, along with some bird seed for weight. The message denigrated people of various races, ethnicities and religions and claimed they were committing atrocities. It warned that such atrocities would be committed against white Americans and that, rather than preventing it, the government is concerned about stopping racism and enforcing political correctness. 

The flyer stated that “white racial purity is America’s only security” and gave contact information for the Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.
